Worrying statistics support advice to be cautious of 'dental tourism' and seeking cheap dental care abroad. A survey shows that 86% of UK dentists have had to care for patients who had problems caused by treatments carried out abroad, us included. In some cases this was irreversible removal of too much tooth tissue, failing treatment and implants that fell out. 76% of patients with problems were having pain.
