Choosing an Implant Dentist
What to consider having Dental Implants?
Not all implant treatment is the same. Important
factors are the experience and training of the surgeon and their personal track
record of providing implant treatment, the quality of the implant system used and
the long-term commitment offered to the patient to ensure appropriate
monitoring, maintenance advice and prompt help if there are any complications.
Why Choose Eynsham Dental Care for your dental implants?
Experience and Expertise
Our Implant dentist, Jens Wille trained in Dental Implantology through the University of Warwick. Jens has been working with us since 2009 thus we have first-hand
evidence of his track -record. He is an active member in an Oxford implant
study group and is currently publishing research into his success rates.
Outstanding Success Rates
Jens has an outstanding success rate with his dental implant treatment. He has formally audited the patients he has treated over the last 7-10 years and has had a 96% success rate for first time osteointegration, i.e. the success of the implant successfully ‘taking’.
Our patients also have a notably low incident of long-term
complications. Peri-implantitis is the main complication
and cause of implants to fail long term. It is an infection and inflammation
which can destroy the bone supporting an implant. The best way to prevent peri-implantitis from developing is to maintain impeccable oral
health. Our team provide the careful monitoring and advice necessary to
help patients to keep their implants healthy in the long term.
We use only leading implant materials
A large number of
cheap copy-cat implant have become common. Most do not have the same track record,
levels of production, or the necessary clinical, biological and laboratory
research to guarantee a long-term result. We only use Straumann, a world leader in
implant technology with 60 years of research and scientific back up.
Trusted Local laboratory
Similarly we have been working with the same
skilled local laboratory for over 10 years. They have a trusted track-record
and put things right if they aren’t just perfect first time.
Gentle and Reassuring
We often hear negative comments about discomfort and post-operative complications from patients who have had implants done elsewhere. We want to reassure patients that that is certainly not the response we get from patients under our care. With over 10 years of patient feedback (including from family members) we know our patients are in very safe and gentle hands.
Trust
Our patients can trust in the familiar faces,
surroundings and know our reputation.
With us, it is a very personal service. Our
familiar, long-standing nurses provide chair-side assistance for your implant
treatment.
Long-term commitment
Long term follow-up and maintenance is important for
successful implant treatment. We work as a team to ensure our implant patients
receive proper long- term monitoring and maintenance and if there are any
hiccups, we will do all we can to put things right.
Convenience
We offer the convenience of our refurbished
facilities, with easy parking and Saturday morning Implant clinics
On the NHS choices website Professor Walmsley warns patients to be careful if considering dental treatment abroad. We would caution our patients against travelling to an unknown clinic for treatment where we cannot guarantee the standard of care.
"This is a lovely practice and always very welcoming. I recently had an implant fitted by Dr Jens Wille and everything was fully explained. Excellent!' GS May 2017
